Story

I Chose This Place, Too

I spent summers on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau as a kid, and for as long as I can remember, it has been my favorite place on earth.

I grew up in Winter Park, Florida, but these mountains were my family's place to get away. Years later, after building a career in hospitality and restaurant operations, I found my way back and made the Plateau home.

That was nearly a decade ago. Today, I get to help other people do something that feels very familiar to me: turn a place they love visiting into a place that feels like home.

Hospitality first. Real estate second.

Before real estate, I spent years in hospitality, from professional kitchens to eight years with BurgerFi during its growth from nine locations to 125. It was fast-paced, detail-oriented work where anticipating what someone needs before they ask is part of doing the job well, and I didn't realize it at the time, but it was pretty great training for real estate. I want my clients to feel taken care of, whether that's a thoughtful day of property tours, knowing who to call when a house needs work, or simply telling you when I don't think a property is the right one. I tend to overthink the details so my clients don't have to.

Second homes are different.

You're not just choosing bedrooms and square footage. You're deciding whether you'd rather walk to dinner or disappear down a quiet mountain road, golf mornings or afternoons on the lake, a private club or acreage. Then come the less glamorous questions: who checks on the property when you're away, how steep is the driveway, who fixes the HVAC after a storm. I work throughout Highlands, Cashiers, Scaly Mountain, Sapphire, Glenville, and Lake Toxaway, and each has its own personality worth understanding.

Thoughtful, to a fault.

I pay attention, ask a lot of questions, and think several steps ahead, and yes, I've been known to obsess over details most people probably wouldn't notice. For buyers, that means helping you look beyond the listing to understand what owning the home will actually be like. For sellers, it means thinking carefully about positioning and who the buyer is likely to be before the home ever hits the market. Luxury, to me, isn't about making something feel fancy. It's about making something complicated feel surprisingly easy.

This Is Home.

Real estate is only one part of my life on the Plateau.

I'm an active member of the Rotary Club of Highlands and the Highlands Chamber of Commerce, and community involvement has been an important part of putting down roots here.

At home, life is considerably less polished. My husband, Tyler, and I are raising our two kids, Jackson and Livi, here in the mountains. There's usually something growing in the garden, something we're planning, and somewhere we're supposed to be.

It's a life I feel incredibly lucky to have built in a place I've loved since I was a kid.

And maybe that's why I understand the pull of a second home here so well.

Sometimes you start by coming for a week.
Then you start coming for the summer.
And eventually, you start wondering what it would be like if you didn't have to leave.

If that's where you are, I'd love to help you figure out what comes next.

Off the Clock

Most weekends you'll find me out at the raised garden beds. Beehives are next on the list, whether I'm ready or not.

It's a rhythm I share with my husband, Tyler, and our kids, Livi and Jackson, and it's a big part of why moving here changes your weekends, not just your address.

“So knowledgeable, great honesty and transparency, and a fun person to hang out with.”

"The Plateau looks different depending on where you're standing. A big part of my job is helping you figure out which view you actually want to wake up to."
